FACTORS INFLUENCING THE FUTURE

In the future, things will continue to be uncertain:

• Changing political background and national strategies for example the move to prioritise work related projects.
• Our response to and links with the developing network of services in our area including the community mental health team.
• The changing demands on premises i.e. location, size and sense of ownership.
• Scope for future funding.
• Maintaining contact with members to access services.

There has been considerable discussion in the past relating to the opportunity to secure premises for Pillar Kincardine providing a permanent facility for members. Although there are clearly benefits to this with the chance for members to feel they have a ‘home’, the members currently feel that this should not be a priority as it requires resources which are better used elsewhere.
